I came in on my Ridgeback this morning down the cut. A very pleasant pedal, although it was a tad chilly and I could see my breath it was that cold. Very sunny though. The only downer is that I think my Muvi has finally died on me, it was on charge consistently yesterday and it will not power up or be recognised by my PC which says USB device malfunction.

I've just noticed that was a slow pedal in, even for the towpath, it didn't feel like I was taking it easy, although every traffic light was on red on the way in, maybe that's it?
It was persistently precipitating on my way home yesterday so I went Edgbaston, Harbourne, QE and Frankley Beeches on my Giant. The traffic is a bit busier over the Beeches at the moment as National Grid are renewing all of the high tension cables on the pylons around there and there are lot of lanes closed and diversions in place. My quiet lanes are not so quiet at the moment.

Towpath bashing sounds like a phrase that is best suited to Joby's Blog mate :-)
ReplyDeleteI can see I'm going to have to craft my sentences with more care with you and Joby around.

Looks like I have to much time on my hands
It doesn't seem two mins since you bought that camera.
ReplyDeleteIs it one of those that will cost you more to post back for repair than it's actually worth?
I've been using it pretty regularly since xmas Jon. I've emailed Muvi Veho tech support with the issue, dunno what they'll do if anything!
ReplyDeleteMine does that sometimes. Can you charge it up from the mains instead (with an iphone type charger) and see if the light pops on.
ReplyDeleteAs for it not being recognized, I just move all the switches to off and then move the power back on (sometimes I accidentally click the VOX, which turns it into a webcam).
Done all that mate, it's officially cream crackered... :-(
ReplyDeleteUnfitguy was talking about a MD80 helmet cam he bought off Ebay, sounds like it could be a replacement for your Muvi cam, I checked it out, only chickened out when it turns out the cheapies (only £11-15), have to be sent from Hon Kong, or Singapore. I know what you mean about rides seeming to be quick, but the clock telling a different story. I think it's a case of being tired and neither ourselves, nor our legs knowing it. If that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI've sent for one of the cheapies Welshies, not a lot of money if it goes tits up!
