Nice article, and I bet loads of people will identify with that.
ReplyDeleteCheers Phill, I always worry a tad about writing stuff like that. It's a very raw subject for me.
ReplyDeleteNice article.
ReplyDeleteMy ride yesterdays made me realise just how much I need to loose some weight too.
I had increased the bikes weight by just 6-10kg via a set of panniers. I couldn't believe just how much I struggled on every hill.
Half way around the ride it dawned on me that i'm far more than 10kg over-weight. The problem wasn't the weight in the panniers, it was the weight around my middle.
I just wish I had your commitment to dieting. (He says tucking into a pack of biscuits)
I'm not dieting Red. If I was my weight would go up, which is bizarre. History proves that.
ReplyDeleteI'm just being sensible permanently...

Hi Clive
ReplyDeleteGreat article, I have a competitive personality so understand where you're coming from, for me going to lunch used to involve me making sure I ate more than anyone else and when you work with a few people 20+ that's a lot. Channelled my competitiveness into my fitness and mileage log against mates instead http://unfitguy.com/mates-miles/ never want to go back now.
