Foggy...

I pedalled in the East Side Commute for 20 miles this morning, no incidents, feel ok, but it was very foggy, so foggy in fact that I'm now pretty wet with all of the water vapour that has settled on me. I also heard my first Cuckoo this morning just by the Drawbridge Pub when I pedalled over the canal which was quite cool.

Stats here:
Your Performance on the trip started on: 2 Jun 2010 05:14
Trip time: 01:10:58
Trip distance: 20.6 mi
Trip calories: 1339 kcal
Average speed: 16.0 mph
Maximum speed: 36.0 mph
Climbed altitude: 715 ft

Not a bad average speed for me I'm noticing.

On the Iphone mount front I've cured the dodgy holder issue by removing my Iphone case and using 2 bits of inner tube cut up as "rubber bands" and securing the phone in the holder. Seems to work ok.

Last nights pedal was a cut, NCR5 and Lickey Loop route home for 16 miles, cracking ride home if a tad wet as it was drizzling all the way. Oh, and I also had a puncture, luckily enough just at the end of my road. I'll have to fix that tonight as I'm towpathing it tomorrow.

A cracking free no strings attached competition here too from DC Rainmaker!

  1. The very last thing you'd want is for your iPhone to pop out of that holder while youre cycling and break. Damn that would suck! Love the inner tube solution though. Very Hannibal Smith :)

  3. Its foggy here too. The worst bit is I was sat in bed listening to the radio and they were banging on about how blue the skys where and how hot today was going to be. To open the curtains to such a grim day was wrotten.

  4. Looks like it's going to be a nice rest of the week and a good weekend too here in the Midlands.

  5. No fog here. Just glorious sunshine and I've got a day off to get some June100 miles in.

It started raining last night on my ride home just under a mile from home. I just stuck my phone in my bag, put the waterproof cover of and carried on in my t-shirt.

  7. Oo,a cuckoo - lucky you! I haven't heard any yet this year, but we have plenty of crazy lapwings nesting on a field nearby (they chased me and the dog off "their territory" last week, and a very noisy woodpecker has started up on my usual walk route too.
