Duvet Day, or very nearly...

It took me a great deal of effort to get my arse out of bed this morning, I woke up late at 0555hrs and seriously considered my options, which were work from home, go by car or man the f*** up and get on my bike.

I took the macho moron option and got on my bike. (Thanks Phill).

The reason for my tardiness was having to get up twice in the night to the Spawn of Satan (my 3 year old son Dan) as for whatever reason he was intent on waking up and making Fire Engine siren noises. Once at 0030hrs and then again at 0245hrs. Bless him. So I'm knackered.

I pedalled in a different route this morning, over the Waseley's through Bartley Green, via Halesowen, Bearwood then Smethwick. I needed a bit of countryside this morning.

For the second morning running I got wet through, which ain't a problem really, it's those bloody gas hills I hate.

Last night's pedal was a standard jobby, the weather was a bit brighter and I seem now to have kicked Frankley Beeches arse well and truly, which came as a bit of a surprise to me. I can still remember dreading that hill, I am sailing up it now. Sailing is a relative term by the way as I am still a broken wreck at the top!

  2. Good to see you motivating yourself even on the tough to get going days. I know all about getting up a couple times during the night to look after the kids. I can't remember the last time I had a solid sleep without getting up.
Keep up the great work and its so awesome to see you getting stronger.
